Vectren
Corporation (the Company), an energy holding company, announced on Friday,
September 1, 2006, that its wholly owned subsidiary, Vectren Energy Delivery
of
Indiana, Inc., filed a request with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission
(IURC) for electric and natural gas base rate increases in its South service
territory. A copy of the press release and other supporting
information is filed as exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form
8-K.
In
