Extreme Networks, Inc. (the Company) is unable to file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 30, 2008 (the Form 10-Q) within the prescribed time period without unreasonable effort or expense, due to delays in the compilation of certain financial information. The Company anticipates it will be able to file the Form 10-Q within the five calendar day time limit prescribed pursuant to Rule 12b-25 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

On April 29, 2008, the Company issued a press release announcing its results of operations for the quarter ended March 30, 2008, which included a comparison of such results to the Companys results of operations for its quarter ended April 1, 2007. In the press release, the Company announced net revenue for the quarter ended March 30, 2008 of $82.0 million, compared to $85.1 million in the year-ago quarter, and net loss of $0.2 million or a loss of $0.00 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $2.4 million or a loss of $0.02 per diluted share in the year-ago quarter.
