Item 8.01     Other Events

On October 1, 2008, LHC Group, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has entered into a joint venture with Beauregard Memorial Hospital, a 60-bed hospital located in DeRidder, Louisiana, to provide home nursing services, effective October 1, 2008.  The agency will operate under the name of Beauregard Memorial Hospital Home Health Agency.
