On August 1, 2006, Rayonier Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that W. Lee Nutter, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, has advised the Company of his intention to retire in mid-2007 at age 63 after 40 years with the Company. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
