On August 15, 2006, Rayonier Inc. announced that it entered into agreements to purchase approximately 176,000 acres of timberland, timber deeds and leases in six states from funds managed by GMO Renewable Resources, LLC. A copy of the press release announcing the transactions is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
