Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers
On July 7, 2006, former U.S. Senator Thomas A. Daschle resigned from the Board of Directors of Apollo Investment Corporation (the “Company”), effective as of such date. Accordingly, former Senator Daschle has also resigned his positions on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and the Audit Committee. A copy of the press release announcing the resignation of former Senator Daschle from the Board is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
