Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 12, 2007, the plaintiffs (Seluk Global Enterprises et al.) in the "In Re Avery Dennison Corporation Securities Litigation" (which was filed on May 6, 2003 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California) filed a notice of voluntary dismissal of the case without prejudice. On January 17, 2007, the Court entered an order dismissing the case.
