Item 1.01. ENTRY INTO A MATERIAL DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT
On November 28, 2007, Olympic Steel, Inc. entered into an amendment of its credit facility. The
amendment, subject to the terms and conditions set forth therein, among other things, reflects that
Bank of America N.A.’s interest in the credit facility has been transferred to LaSalle Bank Midwest
N.A. and the remaining members of the credit facility have agreed to reallocate their individual
interests in the credit facility.

Amendment No. 15 to the Amended and Restated Credit Agreement filed as Exhibit 4.17 hereto.
