Kivnon, a leader in developing, designing, producing, and distributing automated guided vehicles (AGVs), has captured the productivity throughput available with breakthrough robotic technology. The company recently featured a YouTube demonstrating 125 Kivnon AGVs at SEAT’s factory in Martorell. Kivnon AGVs increased efficiency and productivity as well as reduce product damage and labor costs by 25%.
SEAT, Spanish car manufacturer, which sells its vehicles under the SEAT and Cupra brands. It quickly became the largest supplier of cars in Spain. In 1986, after 36 years being publicly listed as an independent automaker, the Spanish government sold SEAT to the Volkswagen Group of which it remains a wholly owned subsidiary.
According to Rob Britt, Kivnon’s Sales Engineer, “AGVs (automated guided vehicles) and AMRs (automated mobile robots) are seriously considered by operations and material handling experts. The technology emphasizes the efficacy of magnetic propulsion solutions; they are tested, established, and have worked well for more than two decades.” The Kivnon USA offices were opened earlier this year in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Kivnon continues to offer other solutions that work in consort with their entire product line. The global customer base continues to grow and expand particularly as the workforce is increasingly unavailable to drive fork trucks.
