Tony Nguyen has rejoined Fish & Richardson’s Houston office as a principal in the litigation group, focusing on computer hardware and semiconductor processing.

After 10 years at Fish, Nguyen departed the firm to travel with his wife. After seeing the world, Nguyen decided it was time to return home to Fish, where he has been welcomed with open arms.

As a practiced and versatile litigator, Nguyen’s practice focuses on high-stakes patent litigation before the U.S. International Trade Commission, in U.S. District Courts, and at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Nguyen’s technical experience includes graphic processing, memory systems, wireless communication standards, high-performance computing as well as telecommunications and medical devices. In 2022, Texas Lawyer recognized Nguyen with the “On the Rise” Award.

Prior to law school, Nguyen was a yield enhancement engineer at Samsung, improving leading-edge DRAM and flash drives.

Nguyen received his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and his B.S. in microelectronic engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
