MATRIXX Software CTO Marc Price to Speak at DTW24

Price joins leading operators to demonstrate the impact of real-time monetization on transforming customer experience; MATRIXX will showcase the future of AI in telecom through catalyst projects at Digital Transformation World 2024.

MATRIXX Software, a global leader in 5G and digital monetization solutions, today highlighted key activities for TMForum’s DTW24 Ignite, June 18-20. This year’s event focuses on the shift from digital telco to AI-native telco and will feature MATRIXX CTO, Marc Price, on opening day in a fireside chat alongside Hesham Fahmy, CIO of TELUS and Bertrand Grèzes-Besset, CIO of Orange Poland. Their discussion, entitled Digital Business Architectures: Convergent, Composable and Cloud Native across All Telco Operations, will explore how MATRIXX helped both operators leverage real-time charging and monetization as part of a wider digital transformation and customer experience journey.

“TM Forum’s flagship event brings together leaders across the industry, and it is the ideal time to showcase how telecom pioneers are rethinking the importance of digital architectures, AI and innovation,” said Price. “We are excited to join some of our key partners in discussing groundbreaking ideas and highlighting some of the great achievements being made across digital transformation and the enablement of next-generation services.”

Price’s fireside chat is part of a wider presentation focused on how open APIs and reusable platform capabilities fuel transformation and innovation. It will be moderated by Ian Turkington, TM Forum’s VP of Architecture and APIs, and will take place on June 18 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm on Stage B.

MATRIXX will also participate in three core Catalyst Projects showcased during the conference, all located in the Quad. Each project focuses on possible implementations of AI for the telco industry, both near and long-term.

  • Realtime Intelligent Customer Experiences will showcase how AI and automation, when coupled with telco data, can enable hyper-personalization and accelerate digital revenue streams. Partners for the project include Bell Canada, STC, Vodafone, Qeema and Celfocus and will be on display at kiosk C21.
  • AI Chat Agent: The Game-Changer for Telecoms will demonstrate how an AI-based customer service system can provide the best possible user experiences, using comprehensive telco-specific data to execute defined and targeted tasks and engage interactively on demand with end users. Partners include SK Telecom, Omantel, Dell Technologies, Compax and SK Inc. and will be on display at kiosk MC4. Monica Ricci, marketing director at MATRIXX, will present the results of this project in the Innovation arena on June 19 at 2:05 pm alongside Jonpgil (JP) Shin of SK Telecom and Vikas Kumar of Dell.
  • AI-Powered Sustainable Smart Farming is focused on meeting TM Forum’s net zero emission by 2030 and will demonstrate how operators can help face the challenges presented by smart farming techniques using an innovative, AI-driven approach that leverages data analytics alongside GenAI to optimize network resources, radio spectrum, cloud infrastructure and agricultural supplies in real-time. Partners include NTT, NTT Data, Blue Planet (a division of Ciena), Agerpix, Compax and Vivo, a Telefônica Brasil brand, and will be on display at kiosk MC1.

Elisabeth Andersson, a director in the Office of the CTO at MATRIXX, will represent MATRIXX in the ODA Growth session, June 19 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm on the Impact stage. The session, entitled Integrating TM Forum's ODA (Open Digital Framework) and Generative AI for Billing Discrepancy Resolution and moderated by TM Forum CTO George Glass, will feature Gaurav Krishna from TELUS International and Saeed Otufat-Shamsi from TELUS Communications. Together, they will discuss how the two companies collaborated to improve billing inquiries and the overall customer experience, leveraging the Open Digital Framework and Generative AI to reduce resource constraints, improve accuracy and increase customer satisfaction.
