The El Cerrito Chamber of Commerce congratulates Marie Bowser Acupuncture for winning the Best Acupuncture category in the inaugural 2022 Best of El Cerrito contest.
Marie Bowser is a healer and licensed acupuncturist who has been practicing acupuncture since 2011. Marie Bowser Acupuncture Transformational Wellness is located in Albany at 514 Kains Ave, which is just off San Pablo Ave near the El Cerrito Plaza.
Before starting her practice as an acupuncturist, Marie worked in a high stress consulting career as a civil and environmental engineer. While she enjoyed her work healing the earth, the long hours and intense work expectations led to a decline in her physical and emotional health. She eventually realized that her life was out of balance and a colleague recommended she explore acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Today, she credits acupuncture for not only restoring her life balance but also transcending her expectations for vitality. After her own healing experience and much soul searching, she left the corporate world to pursue a career as an acupuncturist. She is thrilled to have helped others transform the stress, anxiety and depletion of their work and family commitments and thrive since 2011.

The El Cerrito Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural “Best of El Cerrito” campaign honored the vibrant local businesses in and around El Cerrito and resulted in thousands of residents casting 22,847 votes to newly-mint their favorite local businesses. Voters awarded their favorite businesses in categories as eclectic as “Best Hair Salon” to “Best Real Estate Agent” and “Best Donut Shop.”
