Ahead of the 2024/25 school year, the leading chaplaincy association has responded to many calls from parent and community groups, teachers and students themselves in Lubbock who are calling out for more emotional and well-being support within their school.
The NSCA is pleased to be responding to that call and they encourage any school that hasn’t yet been in contact with them to speak to them about hiring one of their professional, accredited chaplains.
Their chaplains are available on a full-time or part-time basis and will work alongside any school counselors, psychologists or welfare staff to create another safe and confidential space for students to receive youth counseling and pastoral care.
The National School Chaplain Association stresses that chaplains are a proven role and they are confident they can meaningfully build character and create community among any student body.
“Our results show that NSCA chaplains lead directly to improved motivation and goal setting, more confidence, a greater sense of peace, increased self-respect, a better outlook on life and improved problem solving among students,” said a spokesperson for the association. “The work of our chaplains has also led directly to improved inter-student relationships, decreased bullying, decreased discipline issues, decreased school violence and decreased alcohol and drug consumption.”
