(NewMediaWire) - May 16, 2024 - Glendale, CA - The Martial Arts History Museum in Glendale, CA will present a special event, “An Evening with Willie Ito.” An animation legend and Disney icon will share his stories of 50 years in animation. The event will take place on June 8, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at the museum on 201 N. Brand Blvd., B100, Glendale, CA 91203
Ito is credited with a number of cartoon classics such as “Lady and the Tramp,” “The Yogi Bear Show,” “The Jetsons,” “The Flintstones,” “Josie and the Pussycats,” and character creations such as “Hong Kong Phooey.”
His talk will not only include his experiences in animation, but he will also reveal how he overcame his childhood years in the Internment Camps during World War II.
This will be an up close and personal time with this iconic animation figure. The event will be only $12 and will include entrance into the Martial Arts History Museum. The event begins at 4 pm but visitors are encouraged to come an hour early to explore the museum.
