SAN DIEGO - November 22, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Franklin Wireless Corp. (NASDAQ: FKWL) a leader in wireless connectivity, today announced its partnership to bring Korea its first 5G SD-WAN solution.

Software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) provide organizations a cloud-based solution allowing computer networks to extend over long distances, connecting branches, offices, and remote workers. The successful integration of this 5G solution is a joint venture between Franklin Wireless and The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) of Korea. The planned 5G SD-WAN utilizes Edge Fabric technology, providing many benefits, including reduced cost, enhanced performance, improved agility, scalability, simplified management, and increased availability.

"We are greatly honored to be the partner in the development of Korea's first ever 5G SD-WAN solution," noted OC Kim, President of Franklin Wireless Corporation. "Our software and hardware applications have been designed to provide greater bandwidth efficiency, data privacy and security."

"This solution will utilize a variety of 5G mobile devices currently sold and being designed by Franklin Wireless," noted David Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We anticipate seeing an increased level of flexibility and productivity for enterprises and organizations utilizing this solution."

The ETRI is a research and development agency established to develop and make popular new information and electronic technologies. This government-funded institute has played a major role in the distribution of communication technologies. As noted online, "ETRI is continuously committing its resources to R&D efforts that could lead to digital transformation." - Kim, Myung Joon, President of ETRI.

The SD-WAN solution is currently in development and expected to be available to the Korean market as soon as mid-2023.
