Revo, the global leader in high-quality performance sunglasses, celebrates today the gold medal win of its sunglass ambassador, alpine ski racer Marta Bassino, at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Meribel, France. Bassino bested her American rival, Mikaela Shiffrin, by 11-hundredths of a second in the Women’s Super-G on Wednesday. The win gives Italy its second gold medal at the Championships.

While not known as a Super-G competitor, Bassino mastered the second half of the course with a series of highly technical late turns that gave her the win over Shiffrin, who many considered the favorite going into the challenge.

The Alpine Ski World Championships are an Olympic-style competition held every two years.
