Explosive New Video Released On Greg Lindberg Case

"If you're naive, someone with a position of power in the government can come out of left field and take you down," said Lindberg in the documentary.

ORLANDO, FL, February 15, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Entrepreneur Greg Lindberg released an explosive, new video about the wrongful accusations by Mike Causey, North Carolina's elected insurance commissioner.

The 50-minute documentary-style video takes a detailed look at Lindberg's businesses and Causey's political motives for aggressively demanding campaign donations from Lindberg while wearing a wire for the FBI. During the documentary, Lindberg tells his own truth and his lawyers and legal experts weigh in on the case.

"If you're naive, someone with a position of power in the government can come out of left field and take you down," said Lindberg in the documentary. "I've done nothing wrong because I know how we behaved throughout the whole process. I just want the truth to come out and dispel the lies that have been said about me. I want people to see the facts about who I am."

Lindberg's longtime attorney, Aaron Tobin, shares in the video that Lindberg remained under the radar for most of his career. Tobin said Lindberg made his money based on investments. His persistence and hard work helped grow dozens of failing businesses and employ thousands of people, he said.

"It usually comes with the territory that the more successful you are, the more people are going to take shots at you…usually in some sphere of fairness," said Tobin. "But what Causey did was not fair. This case started because of a political threat. He felt threatened by Lindberg. Causey had ran for office five times and lost four of those times. When he finally made it, he was going to do anything to stay there."

Lindberg's lead bribery trial lawyer, Brandon McCarthy, emphasizes that the prosecution took a very aggressive approach in Lindberg's case, and it shouldn't have been pursued in that manner. "Causey is the bad guy. He orchestrated all of this out of something that wasn't true and for his own political interest," said McCarthy.

Lindberg was wrongfully convicted in federal court in March 2020. As a result, his spent almost two years behind bars in Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama. In June of 2022, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit overturned Lindberg's conviction ruling that the district court erred in its jury instructions and stated that a new trial should be held. His case is scheduled for retrial in May of this year.

Lindberg's documentary will be available in full in his YouTube Channel. For more information, visit GregLindberg.com or watch his latest in-depth podcast interview here.
