On the heels of being named VETS Indexes 5 Star Employer for third consecutive year and a Top 10 Military Friendly^® Company, Kinetic by Windstream salutes active-duty military and veterans during May as part of Military Appreciation Month.

In addition to local activities across the 18-state footprint, beginning tomorrow through June 14, Kinetic will waive the activation fee for active and retired military members. The typical $60 activation fee will be offset by a $60 credit on a new customer's first bill.

Already in May, Kinetic sponsored the 15th annual Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association ride, where riders raised $10,000 for North Carolina veterans and their families. Over the next few weeks, WINVets will decorate Mills Springs Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky, on Memorial Day weekend, and Kinetic will sponsor Military Appreciation Night at the Cannon Ballers in Kannapolis, North Carolina, on June 3, as well as other veteran and military friendly events.
