WSI Implements Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management to Address Growth in Ecommerce, DTC Fulfillment

Manhattan Associates Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) announced today that WSI Supply Chain Solutions, one of the largest privately held logistics companies in the U.S., has successfully implemented Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management at all of its ecommerce fulfillment centers. By deploying Manhattan Active WM, WSI has been able to streamline its fulfillment processes, including standardizing receiving, picking, replenishment and shipping.

Just from the initial phase of the rollout, Manhattan Active WM is helping WSI achieve measurable improvements in throughput volume and picking accuracy, as demand has surged in ecommerce and DTC. Manhattan Active WM’s intelligent, AI-driven order allocation helps WSI optimize pick density while gaining visibility into individual, departmental and overall performance against goals.

“As we're growing as a company, especially in ecommerce and DTC, we need to make sure we’re sustaining the same high level of performance our customers have come to expect,” said Sebastian West, vice president of IT at WSI. “To do that, we needed to take the next step in our technology. Choosing Manhattan Active Warehouse Management gave us the ability to increase the reliability of our shipping, improve inventory accuracy and gain warehouse efficiency even as demand continues to increase.”

John Servia, vice president of Operational Excellence said, Manhattan’s Professional Services and Customer Support teams have taken a strong partnership approach throughout the implementation in terms of availability and responsiveness. “Knowing that Manhattan is there for us, I’m excited about the next steps,” he said. “They have done an excellent job allowing us to ask questions while providing great feedback and guidance as we continue to grow.”

Manhattan Active WM is the first cloud-native WMS that unifies every aspect of distribution planning and execution. Crafted entirely from API microservices, Manhattan Active WM ushers in a new level of supply chain speed, agility and ease of use.

“Maintaining a high level of service and performance while growing your business can be challenging,” said Stewart Gantt, executive vice president, professional services at Manhattan Associates. “By implementing Manhattan Active WM, WSI has been able to improve both picking accuracy and speed, critical in a higher throughput environment, while streamlining its fulfillment processes and reducing delivery times.”
