Restore Hyper Wellness (“Restore” or “the company”), a leader in science-backed, personalized wellness therapies, today announced that its Board of Directors (“the Board”) has appointed Matt Vonderahe as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 10, 2025. He succeeds Steve Welch, who will step down as CEO and continue to serve as a member of the Board.
An experienced leader with a track record of delivering growth across multi-unit and franchise systems, Mr. Vonderahe was most recently at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. During his tenure, he helped the movie theatre business navigate through the pandemic and oversaw several key expansion milestones ahead of its sale to Sony Pictures Entertainment in June 2024. Previously, Mr. Vonderahe held senior leadership roles at Marshall Retail Group, The Container Store, and FedEx Office.

Mr. Vonderahe was most recently at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema between August 2020 and December 2024. Mr. Vonderahe was also previously at Marshall Retail Group between July 2016 and July 2020. Earlier in his career, he held various senior leadership positions at The Container Store and FedEx Office. Mr. Vonderahe has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing & Business Strategy from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
