Situational Survival Launches Active Assailant Simulation Training in Partnership with Orpical Group

The increasing frequency of shooting incidents in the United States underscores the urgency and necessity for the initiation of this simulation training program.

(PRUnderground) February 8th, 2024

Situational Survival, in collaboration with Orpical Group, is proud to announce the release of a groundbreaking active assailant simulation training program. This innovative initiative aims to educate the public on responding effectively in active assailant scenarios, focusing on saving lives through preparedness and strategic response.

There were more than 600 mass shootings in the United States in 2023, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more victims are shot or killed. Given the disturbing rise in shooting incidents across the United States, the launch of this simulation training is both timely and imperative.

Traditional educational models often fail to engage and adequately prepare individuals for such critical situations. Addressing this, Situational Survival and Orpical Group have together developed a Trainification Model, a novel approach incorporating interactive learning elements to ensure engagement and retention of vital survival strategies.

JoAnn Ugolini, the founder of Situational Survival, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: “Our mission is to empower individuals with the confidence and skills needed to act decisively in crisis situations. Education is a powerful tool in converting fear into actionable knowledge.”

Mike Wojcik, Technical Director of Orpical Group, highlights the program’s future trajectory: “Launching this training is just the beginning. We know we have a lot of work to do, and we’re focused on gathering feedback for continuous improvement and expansion. The significance of this initiative cannot be overstated, as it paves the way for expanding the program to include various scenarios and introduces a customized component for organizations in need of specialized preparedness training solutions.”

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing public safety and preparedness. The training’s immediate availability underscores the partners’ commitment to rapid deployment and adaptation based on community and organizational feedback.
