Vladimir Kush Unveils His New Bronze Sculpture: 'GALILEO'

LAS VEGAS - September 22, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

World-renowned artist Vladimir Kush unveiled his latest limited-edition Bronze Sculpture "Galileo" (36"x16"x16") at his gallery Kush Fine Art inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Galileo's biography, written by his student Vincenzo Viviani in 1589, Galileo conducted an experiment, dropping two balls of different masses from a famous falling tower in Pisa to demonstrate that the time of fall is not dependent on the mass of the body with this experiment. He disproved Aristotle's theory, who claimed that the rate of fall was proportionate to the mass of the body.

This new artwork becomes part of Kush's Bronze Sculpture collection, with over 70 artworks derived from his paintings and sketches. Kush explains, "The sculptures allow me to add one more dimension to the existing ideas when it comes to the form. It is proven now that metaphors can exist not only in the form of words, but also two-dimensional paintings and three-dimensional sculptures, unique jewelry, and wearable art. The list is endless because metaphor has no limits. Not even the sky, if you think about it."

The main focus of Kush's art has always been in painting and drawing, and yet the ideas that have grown on the flat surface of the canvas have gradually acquired one more dimension and transitioned into 3D space. Turned out in bronze, silver, and gold, strengthened by the shine of patina or the sparkle of precious stones, they received their shape and reached their fullness in metaphorical sculptures and a one-of-a-kind unique jewelry line.
