By: Invezz

There is a lot of activity when it comes to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) cryptocurrencies, where the most popular options include Cardano (ADA/USD), Ethereum (ETH/USD), and Algorand (ALGO/USD).

Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, added a new category of milestones to the technical roadmap and introduced the Scourge in an expanded six-partechnical roadmap.

We covered how Algorand was the chosen blockchain on top of which FIFA+ Collect was created, which is a digital collectible platform that lets fans have blockchain ownership of iconic football game moments.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022, and fans are jumping into the app, fueling interest in Algorand as well.

Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus and Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson had a feud on Twitter. However, they decided to bury the hatchet following their heated exchange, however, this did bring attention to ADA.

Additionally, Input Output, the development team behind Cardano, has expanded its team and appointed Dr. Vanishree Rao as the head of applied cryptography.

From May 2017 to December 2018, Dr. Rao worked as a senior cryptographer for Intertrust Technologies Corporation.
